This year INVOTEC Engineering chose to support the March of Dimes in their efforts to eliminate infant mortality and prematurity. Every year, over half a million babies in the US are born premature and many of them have serious complications that threaten their lives. The March of Dimes has been a leader in research in this area for years, and they have helped develop many medications, vaccinations and tests that save both full-term and premature babies.
At INVOTEC, we saw the work this organization is doing and it motivated us to bring awareness to this great cause. We started the INVOTEC Engineering March for Babies team. We raised a large amount of funds for our first year, and we also participated in the March for Babies 5K walk Saturday, April 28th at Carillon Park. In spite of the call for rain, the INVOTEC team marched on for stronger, healthier babies.
