Last week one of our machinists ran his mill for the last time. After 50 years of working in the machining industry, Dick, has retired from INVOTEC Engineering. Dick said he started his career at the age of 16 working on a jig grinder and never looked back. Even after a brief layoff in the early 2000s, Dick persevered by snagging a job with us at INVOTEC. Although he was not fully trained for our mill, he learned to do his job well and made plenty of friends along the way. Now, after 7 years with us, he has decided to experience life as a retiree.
To honor all Dick’s hard work over the years, INVOTEC presented him with a coin and plaque that was personally made by several of the employees. We are all sad to see him go but wish him all the luck in the future.
